About the Role




As HR Systems Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing our core HR platforms, with iTrent being the main system. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring our systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with our strategic goals.


You'll work closely with internal departments, IT & Digital, and external providers to drive system enhancements, support workforce planning, and ensure business continuity. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of HR technology in a large, complex organisation.

What You'll Be Doing



Managing and maintaining key HR systems to ensure optimal performance and integration. Leading system upgrades, enhancements, and structural changes across the Council and maintained schools. Overseeing system governance, compliance, and contract management. Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes and resolve complex system issues. Developing data dashboards and ensuring data integrity and security. Driving innovation and continuous improvement in HR technology.

We're looking for someone with

:

Substantial experience managing HR systems which includes iTrent in a local authority or similar environment. Proven leadership skills and experience managing a small team. Strong knowledge of system governance, compliance, and business continuity. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. A strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects. A Level 7 qualification in HR or IT (or equivalent experience) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
