As a growing specialist provider supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health needs, we are entering a pivotal stage of expansion--and we need the right HR leader to help us scale with heart and excellence.

We're looking for a hands on HR & Training Manager to lead our People and Workforce strategy across multiple homes based in Chester and Preston. This role includes a clear 12-month progression plan to Head of HR and Workforce, offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious HR professional ready to move into senior leadership.

Please note: This is an office-based role in Chester to effectively support our team and collaborate cross-functionally. Remote/hybrid work is not currently available.

What You'll Do:



Initial Priorities (First 3-6 Months):



Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment across all care services Manage and develop the HR and Workforce team (4 team members) Oversee staff training programmes and onboarding to meet service and quality needs Partner with operational leaders to assess and fulfil workforce needs Ensure compliance with safer recruitment and employment legislation Handle complex HR queries and employee relations casework

As the Role Evolves:



Lead the implementation of strategic HR and workforce initiatives Strengthen training frameworks and support continuous staff development Oversee employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention efforts Advise on complex HR matters and support policy implementation Improve HR systems, workforce planning, and use of data insights to inform decisions

What You'll Bring:



Proven experience leading a small team in HR, recruitment, or people operations A strong track record managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle Experience supporting HR strategy at an operational and complex level Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice Excellent people leadership and problem-solving skills Ambition to grow into a Head of HR and Workforce position within 12 months CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
