Role Overview
As SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust SHEQ systems, ensuring our business operates in full compliance with legislative, client, and industry requirements. You will play a critical role in maintaining our accreditations and driving continual improvement across safety, health, environmental and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of SHEQ across the business and project sites.
Develop, review and implement SHEQ policies, procedures and management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
Conduct site audits, inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and SHEQ training to staff and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances; develop corrective and preventative actions.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies regarding SHEQ matters.
Maintain and improve performance monitoring systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Promote a strong SHEQ culture and continuous improvement ethos across the company.
Manage documentation and support the tendering process with SHEQ-related information.
Qualifications and Experience
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a SHEQ role within the construction or M&E sector.
In-depth knowledge of UK and NI SHEQ legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience implementing and maintaining ISO management systems.
Strong auditing, incident investigation, and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Chartered Membership of IOSH or working towards it.
Environmental qualification (IEMA or similar).
