Job Description

JOB PURPOSE



A key role within the organisation, advising and supporting Managers and Technicians in all HSEQ matters .

The HSEQ Manage will ensure that all quality, health, safety and environmental practices are aligned to key business objectives and allow the organisation to comply (and exceed) its statutory and contractual obligations.

This role will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring that the organisation is fully compliant to applicable standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement and cooperation

To instigate HSEQ initiatives into the organization and the management of business systems, in raising operational standards and contributing to the development & effective operations of Ecocel Services Ltd.

Carry out management system audits and inspections to ensure standards in technical competence and safe working practices are met.

To monitor, review and improve the Integrated Management System to ensure compliance and identify opportunities and improvement.

To conduct and complete ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 audits and support operational teams with any external audits.

To provide coaching, mentoring and support to function owners.

Support the implementation, design and development of risk management processes, including Risk Assessment, COSHH Assessment, Fire Risk Assessment and Construction Design Management.

Development and completion of HS&E compliance audits and site safety inspections.

Creation of construction phase plans, RAMS, traffic management plans, safe systems of work and associated construction related risk management documentation.

Delivery of new employee inductions

Identify knowledge or skills gaps (specific focus on safety, company policies and procedures) and implement supportive corrective actions to meet these needs and to help ensure competency levels are attained and maintained.

Providing internal training and coaching to operational teams in specific subject matters, such as - CDM, Contractor Management, Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment and COSHH.

Identify any operational and regulatory risks, escalating as appropriate and provide competent advice and recommendations.

Compile reports to inform the Directors of internal audit findings and non-conformity to contractual or external audits and incident trends in order to facilitate improvement.

Identify and understand the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to the work and ensure the teams comply with these. Help the teams understand and actively promote issues regarding health, safety & the environment.

To support and where necessary, lead accident and incident investigation, utilising root cause analysis and provide advice to Operational teams on effective preventative measures to reduce risk.

All other duties as directed by the Operations Director.

Pay: 40,000.00-55,000.00 per year
