The Security, Resilience & Protection Office is committed to delivering a global, scalable and efficient service, providing expertise to enable the whole company to operate safely and securely for our customers, clients, our people and shareholders.

About the role

The IAM team is responsible for the development of the corporate Identity and Access Management technology service, which is utilised to provision and maintain core user identities and corresponding entitlements across abrdn, including our global territories.

Increasing demands on abrdn compliance to legal and regulatory requirements surrounding the management of our information has led to need for several Group-wide strategic programmes such as Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).

This role will help to support the operational Identity & Access Management activities; Recertifications, Joiners, Movers, Leavers (JML), Access Provisioning and IAM Monitoring, in addition to driving continuous improvements and supporting our strategic change projects as our IAM function matures and grows.

The role reports directly to the Identity & Access Management Lead and is based in Edinburgh. The role holder will work closely with our Cyber Security Operations team, Risk & Compliance, and HR, as well as specialist 3rd party security suppliers and the global IT and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

As a part of the Identity & Access Management team, this role will support:

Joiners, Movers, Leavers (JML) \xe2\x80\x93 assisting with JML activities, including streamlining processes and seeking routes for automation.

Application Provisioning - for the scope of applications managed by the IAM team.

Incident Response Support \xe2\x80\x93 for IAM related incidents.

IAM Monitoring and Investigations \xe2\x80\x93 enhancing and developing monitoring processes to support our controls.

Recertifications \xe2\x80\x93 assisting with the service offering, managing tickets and liaising with the business.

Support the delivery of the IAM Vision/Roadmap

Work with colleagues and stakeholders to design IAM services that meet the desired controls and provide a positive customer experience.

Seeking continuously and proactively to improve quality of analysis, service delivery, and/or business decision making.

Undertaking an analysis of a range of data sources, to produce options and recommendations for a workable solution and drive action from key decision makers

Key Skills/Experience:

Experience in security or Cyber Security Degree

IT Security/Information Security knowledge, to identify and respond to cyber security incidents.

Experience with relevant IAM tools, such as Active Directory, ServiceNow, CyberArk & One Identity

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and remediate potential risks.

Passion for security and self-development to keep up to date with the evolving IAM trends, technologies, and best practices \xe2\x80\x93 making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Desired Skills/Experience:

Industry recognised certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent experience

Understanding of the NIST Cyber Security Framework

Knowledge of auditing frameworks, such as ISAE3402

SQL

PowerBI
