Black Antelope Law is looking to recruit a full-time Immigration Law Caseworker to join our team in September 2025. The role involves working closely with the Department Director on a range of immigration, asylum, and judicial review matters. You'll be expected to adopt a proactive and professional approach, with strong client care skills and a sensitive understanding of the issues many of our clients face.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with casework and undertaking your own advocacy where appropriate, attending clients and taking instructions, dealing with correspondence, preparing applications and legal submissions to the Home Office, drafting witness statements and collating supporting evidence, attending court and conferences, and maintaining accurate time recording. You'll also be expected to follow up on recommendations made during file reviews, implement best practices in file management, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Applicants should hold ideally hold IAA level 1 accreditation and/or have demonstrable experience across a broad range of publicly private immigration matters. You must have a clear understanding and practical application of immigration and asylum law, including judicial review procedures. Experience as an Immigration Paralegal, Senior Caseworker, or Advisor is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and oral communication skills, legal drafting ability, and a high level of IT proficiency (especially with Microsoft Office and case management systems) are all required.
