At Custom Garden Rooms, we design and build high-quality bespoke garden rooms tailored to our customers' lifestyles. We are looking for a proactive and organised Installations Manager to oversee our growing pipeline of projects, ensuring every build is delivered smoothly, on time, and to our exacting standards.
Role Overview
The Installations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our garden room installations from start to finish. This includes conducting national customer site visits, scoping jobs, communicating with suppliers, managing installer teams, and maintaining excellent customer communication throughout the process. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee multiple garden room installation projects at various stages, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Customer Liaison: Carry out site visits across the UK to scope each job, advise customers, and confirm installation requirements.
Team Management: Coordinate and supervise installation teams, providing clear instructions and resolving on-site issues. Strong communication and efficiency between the workshop and on-site teams.
Scheduling: Manage project timelines, allocate resources, and keep customers informed on progress.
Quality Control: Monitor installation standards to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any installation or customer issues that arise.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of jobs, materials, and progress, providing updates to the Managing Director and Operations Director.
Requirements
Previous experience in the construction, trades, or home improvement sector (e.g. joinery, carpentry, garden rooms, extensions, or similar).
Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple installations simultaneously.
Excellent customer service and communication skills - confident in face-to-face meetings and managing expectations.
Experience coordinating trade teams and subcontractors.
IT literate and has excellent telephone and written communication skills including etiquette via email, with a friendly, confident and warm approach.
Knowledge of materials procurement and supply chain processes.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Willingness to travel nationally for site visits and installations with some potential overnight stays.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Highly Desirable
Previous installations/project management experience in garden rooms, modular builds, or outbuildings.
Hands-on trade background (carpentry, joinery, general building).
IT literacy for managing schedules, CRM updates, and reporting.
