Claimant Intermediate Track or Multi-Track Fee Earner

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a specialist legal firm in the Complex Injury team dealing with predominantly Claimant Intermediate Track/Multi-Track RTA cases however, experience in EL/PL and OL claims would be welcome. We are looking for an experienced Solicitor/CFILEX/Fee Earner who is familiar with dealing with multi-track personal injury cases, litigation and running a full caseload.

The Intermediate Track team runs as 6 fee earners and 3 assistants, with admin support from a central team. The Multi-Track team is split into two mini teams each with 3 fee earners and 2 assistants with admin support from a central team. OCL Solicitors is a rapidly expanding law firm dealing largely in Road Traffic Accident Litigation and has excellent career progression.

As a Fee Earner you will run your own caseload of Intermediate Track personal injury cases from 25k - 80k, or Multi-Track personal injury cases with values ranging from 80k - 1m+ all depending on experience, under supervision from management, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients. The main duties will include:

Being able to take instruction on a case and be able to proceed with the job in hand Running your own caseload Assist in running a case from letter of claim stage right through to settlement or Trial Dealing with new claims or claims that have started life in the MOJ Portal which turn into Multi-Track cases and have been dropped from the process Dealing with rehab and initial needs of a Client Visiting Clients Ability to manage a Client well, keep them updated and informed when needed Taking and drafting Statements and obtained all early evidence in support of liability if required Obtained medical records, reviewing the same and assessing what medical evidence is required Instructing medical experts and reviewing and obtaining any further medical evidence Drafting Schedule of Losses Assessing Quantum Preparing and Drafting Court Proceedings and other Court documents Instructing Counsel Ability to work well within a team
Place of Work and Hours

The Complex Injury team works on a hybrid rota whereby we are in the office in Doncaster on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every other week and then one Friday a month. The rest of the time is working from home with full equipment provided. Full time hours are a 37.5 hour week. There is some flexibility to this depending on locality to the office but it also needs to suit business needs.

Salary Negotiable depending on candidate.
