Role Overview
We are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join our fantastic corporate communications team. This role is tasked with planning, advising on and ensuring the delivery of high-quality internal communications, event and engagement activities. Key responsibilities: Programme Management

  • Working with the Head of Corporate Communications and Senior Internal Communications Manager, contribute to the internal communications work programme
  • Lead on the planning, development and delivery of new, complex projects and change communications campaigns, from inception to delivery
  • Contribute towards the development of internal communications strategies, particularly in relation to change communications
  • Planning and delivering colleague events and activities, as part of the internal communications and engagement programme
Communications Delivery Oversee and deliver high quality, communications, and engagement activities for a variety of internal and external audiences and channels, including:
  • Devising communications plans for new, complex projects, using creative approaches
  • Developing messaging on complex and sensitive issues
  • Producing high-quality creative content for use across a range of internal channels
  • Delivering internal news and updates for colleagues
  • Ensure communications are in line with the Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand and tone of voice, using plain English
  • Providing quality assurance for internal communications, including undertaking fact-checking, proof-reading and editing, whilst ensuring work adheres to brand guidelines
  • Measuring and evaluating internal communications and engagement activities, using findings to make recommendations for future improvements.
  • Briefing, commissioning and overseeing the work of external agencies and members of the Communications Team, ensuring outputs are delivered to meet agreed business requirements.
Internal Events
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver internal events, including employee conference
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create event briefs and proposals
  • Carry out all operational planning for each event
  • Project manage events from concept through to delivery and analysis. May be required to travel to other A2Dominon offices
  • Research costs and manage events budget
  • Align event objectives with the Corporate Strategy priorities.
Business Partnering
  • Act as the Corporate Communications Team\xe2\x80\x99s Business Partner for key internal client areas, developing strong relationships and providing communications advice and support at a senior level
  • Ensure and agree priorities and requirements for communications, developing briefs, designing solutions and agreeing deliverables
  • Work with stakeholders to understand issues and navigate sensitivities, exercising judgement to design, agree and implement appropriate solutions
  • Provide strategic communications advice, guidance and support
  • Deliver internal communications plans, processes and frameworks to embed best practice within business teams as standard, including guidance, templates, tools and advice.
More about you
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
  • Extensive experience delivering internal communications within a large, complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to provide advice and guidance for stakeholders at all levels, developing strong relationships
  • Creating and delivering communications plans, frameworks and improvement solutions, including research and analysis
  • Project management and campaign management skills, including briefs, plans, delivery, and evaluation, working with peers and colleagues across different departments
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to deliver engaging, clear and concisely written communications for internal audiences across a range of channels
  • Experience of managing and delivering an events programme.
