Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated

Internal Recruiter

to join our team.

Reporting into HRBP this role will support the organisational People Strategy and will be responsible for delivering the Workforce and Recruitment plan. This will include managing the full recruitment life cycle and ensuring that Milewood attracts, recruits, embeds and retains the required number of suitable staff across all services and functions.

This role will ensure that the recruitment process is robust and as efficient as possible, utilising best practice approach alongside fit for purpose systems in a cost-effective manner whilst maintaining a positive candidate experience and reducing reliance on external recruitment support/costs.

Hours:

Full time 40 hours

Pay:

28,000 per annum

Main Responsibilities



Recruitment & Selection:



Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and create eye catching and informative job adverts Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for positions of all levels which attract the best candidates Source candidates through multiple channels (job boards, social media, networking, referrals) Screen CVs and when required conduct initial phone/video interviews Coordinate and facilitate interview processes with hiring managers Support with, or if required lead on, a robust compliance process for candidates including work history, references, background checks and verification Manage offer negotiations and onboarding coordination Utilising effective selection techniques such as psychometric testing and AI Act as a first point of contact for all recruitment related aspects, internally and externally

Stakeholder Management:



Build strong relationships with hiring managers across all departments Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and market insights Build strong and effective relationships with external partners, such as Job Centres, Colleges, Local Authority Hubs etc Advise on salary benchmarking and recruitment best practices Support workforce planning initiatives

Process Improvement & Recruitment Tracking:



Implement, embed and develop an ATS and onboarding solution, which integrates with current systems Maintain and improve recruitment processes and documentation Ensuring recruitment needs are understood and vacancy hours tracked, advising Regional Operation's manager and SLT on areas of risk Providing regular and effective reports on recruitment, vacancy rates and potential churn Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies Track and report on recruitment metrics and KPIs Contribute to employer branding initiatives

Other:



Advise on visa's and sponsorships Working into specific services/regions to lead of specific recruitment projects/targets e.g to support a new service and ensure it is fully staffed aligned to Milewood requirements Any other reasonable duty deemed necessary to support the organisation meet it's objectives

Key Competencies:



Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience of reducing recruitment advertising spend and recruitment agency usage Knowledge of workforce planning and HR data analysis Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization

Person Spec



Essential Requirements:



2+ years recruitment experience (agency or in-house) Strong interviewing and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in ATS systems and recruitment tools Understanding of employment law and best practices Experience in the social care sector and a strong understanding of care home environments and regulatory requirements

Desirable Requirements:



CIPD qualification or working towards Experience with diversity and inclusion initiatives Knowledge of social media recruiting techniques

Additional Requirements:



Flexibility to travel across Milewood sites when required. DBS check required (employer-funded).
