U-Drive have a fantastic opportunity for an articulate and empathetic recruiter to join the Head Office team in Poole as our In-House Recruiter. Your role will see you getting stuck in to managing and advising on all areas of recruitment. Additionally, you'll play a key role in building strong teams with a strong focus on building relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure were finding the best people for our business.


About the Role




U-Drive are looking for an In-House Recruiter with bags of integrity and enthusiasm (and a sense of humour!) to join the Head Office team as the In-House Recruiter for the Head Office, Workshops and all branches. This is a hands-on role, seeing you integrating with all teams across the business and branches, providing oversight and advice on all areas of recruitment from processing applications, screening candidates, coordinating and assisting with interviews as well as consulting hiring managers. This permanent position

(40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, office based)

. As the In-House Recruiter, you will be focused on undertaking and maximising the recruitment function across the business as a whole. You will be an excellent communicator and thrive on building high-quality, supportive relationships both internally and with candidates.


Key Responsibilities



Collaborate with the Leadership team & Department Heads to determine hiring needs and create comprehensive job descriptions Develop and post engaging job advertisements on various platforms Utilise sourcing techniques on platforms to identify potential candidates Manage and update recruitment databases, spreadsheets, and candidate tracking systems to ensure accurate information and provide progress reports to recruitment team managers Screen, engage, and interview candidates, both in-person and via virtual platforms, for a range of roles Coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared Provide guidance to hiring managers on interview techniques and assessment methods Communicate with unsuccessful applicants at all stages of the recruitment process Support employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates Stay updated with current recruiting methods and participate in job fairs and career events Assist in the creation and implementation of recruitment policies and procedures Track and analyse hiring metrics, including time-to-hire and source of hire Ensure compliance with HR and recruiting processes and legislation Further contributing to the HR team by on-boarding new starters and off-boarding company leavers, as well as conducting Return to Work Interviews

About You




The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

You will have proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter, or in a similar role either internally or within an agency set up You will be familiar with sourcing techniques on social media and professional websites You will be proficient in using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)- we use Workable, along with experience of a range of jobsites You will be a natural relationship builder, effective communicator and exceptional listener You will be comfortable providing consultative advice to team members of all levels You will have strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail You will be adaptable to change and ambiguity, knowing what questions to ask to ensure your search is heading in the right direction You will be self-motivated and results driven, with excellent prioritisation and organisational skills as well as a positive, can-do attitude Knowledge of HR and recruiting processes and the impact of upcoming changes in legislation You will understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion Strong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills (minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths)
