Location: Trafford Park, Manchester



Package: Basic salary up to 27,000 plus bonus & benefits



Hours: 40 hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)

The Company



Gottlieb Packaging Materials, part of Macfarlane Group PLC, the UK's largest packaging distributor are seeking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Coordinator to join our established team based at their offices based in Manchester (Trafford Park). The Internal Sales Coordinator Role



Sales Coordination is a key part of what we do, providing the crucial 'bridge' between our customers and our internal purchasing, logistics and external field sales teams. This fast-paced, multi-faceted role will see you handling inbound customer enquiries and processing sales and purchase orders. This position is wholly office based and focussed upon customer engagement. You will be focussed on understanding customer needs, to ensure opportunities are realised and first-class service is always provided.



Please note, given our office location and the surrounding area's traffic, we would prefer candidates who live within approximately 5 miles of our site (postcode: M17 1SB) to ensure a manageable daily commute.



Internal Sales Coordinator Key Duties




To look after key accounts, including buying and selling products

Drive sales forward and up-sell via cold calls, calls to lapsed customers & re-quotes

Prepare & send quotes

Process sales and purchase orders, and follow through to delivery

Efficient response to incoming phone enquiries

To be responsible for own admin

To chase suppliers

To support external sales reps

To liaise with internal staff/warehouse where required

To record action taken & update Manager as required

To work to deadlines


Do you have the correct profile?




Strong sales skills & excellent telephone manner

Professional, confident, polite, helpful & friendly

Excellent planning skills, able to prioritise a varied workload to meet operational demands

Excellent verbal & written communication

Computer literate (word, excel, outlook & preferably sage 50)

Flexible, multi-tasking - willing to undertake additional tasks in order to meet customer requirements and assist in other areas as may be required

Customer service focussed

The Package



From the commencement of your employment, your paid holiday entitlement will be at the rate of 23 days per calendar year, plus bank holidays. We also offer company pension, death in service insurance, free parking and a competitive basic starting salary.
