Tec Products Ltd is a growing welding, engineering & industrial supplies business based in Thirsk. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales & Stores Assistant to join our small team. You should have excellent communication skills and be customer service orientated so you can build successful, long-term customer relationships. Ideally you will have sales experience and a knowledge of or keen interest in welding products.

You will work to respond to customers' quotation requests and queries promptly and will be involved in all aspects of sales from serving customers who come to our premises to answering the phone and processing sales orders. You will also be unpacking deliveries, picking and packing products for orders, handling stock management, purchase ordering and website promotions.

Role Responsibilities:

Develop positive relationships with customers and act as a point of contact

Produce quotations for customers in a timely and efficient manner

Process successful quotes and orders through to picking products ready for delivery

Obtain and negotiate competitive supplier quotes

Place orders with suppliers to ensure stock levels are replenished and orders are fulfilled

Promote special offers & manage products on our website

Create sales flyers and offer sheets and email them to existing customers

Skills/ Experience Required:

Proven office and sales experience including using MS Office & ideally Sage 50

Goods in / out responsibilities

Local customer deliveries in our small van

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, polite, helpful attitude, as this is a customer facing role serving customers over the trade counter, by email & on the telephone

Knowledge in welding, industrial and engineering supplies is preferred but if not an interest in these products is essential as we can provide training if required to enable you to best meet our customers' needs. You must be willing to expand your knowledge of the goods we sell.

Must be punctual and reliable and have good attention to detail.

Demonstrate flexibility, an ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work tasks

Some manual handling will be required to load & unload goods.

As a member of a small team assist with carrying out other tasks as and when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
