Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Team Leader to guide and support our Internal Sales Team at our busy Inverness Branch. You will play a key role in supervising, motivating, and developing team members while ensuring we deliver exceptional customer service. This role offers scope for growth, with the potential to develop into a combined internal and external sales leadership position over time.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Internal Sales Manager in delegating tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring completion. Manage day-to-day sales activities including orders, quotes, credits, returns, warranties, and manifests. Support the Internal Sales Team in handling customer and colleague enquiries. Contribute to and manage department KPIs. Identify team training needs and provide the necessary support. Monitor individual and team performance, set clear goals, and track progress. Act as a key holder and support other departments when needed. Successfully handle all sales enquiries from start to completion. Advise customers on products, pricing, and availability (including non-stock items).

Required Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a team leader or similar role (preferred). Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Excel skills highly desirable. Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service. Ability to work independently, make decisions, and adapt to change. Good numeracy skills.
