THE ROLE
This is a brand-new role focussed on our international business, that blends fast-growth commercial performance, brand sensitivity and a rapid test & learn approach.
You'll drive the expansion and optimisation of our Shopify-powered e-commerce experiences across key international markets -- building journeys that feel intuitive, enriching, and distinctly Ancient + Brave.
From strategic trading to customer experience, you'll partner across functions taking the best of what we've learned from scaling the UK business to drive international sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer and working in close collaboration with the Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for the following:
+ Manage the optimisation of international Shopify storefronts -- ensuring each market (currently US, Germany, Spain) is localised and brand-aligned.
+ Translate global strategy into market-specific action across pricing, content, merchandising, and promotions.
+ Collaborate with digital marketing, operations, CX (Customer Experience), and brand teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
+ Drive international subscription growth and retention -- evolving how our rituals fit into people's daily lives.
+ Monitor and report on key KPIs (key performance indicators) including AOV(Average Order Value), CVR (Conversion Rate), CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) and LTV(Lifetime Value), using insights to fuel intelligent growth.
+ Collaborate on customer journey development, feeding into global CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) activities that drive performance gains across all sales and marketing channels.
+ Stay ahead of regional regulations, tax, and logistics nuances to ensure operational excellence globally.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Experience within a high-growth, DTC (Direct to Consumer) environment, ideally within wellness, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
+ Deep knowledge of Shopify, with experience managing international stores or region-specific domains.
+ Demonstrated success driving growth in international markets, ideally within Europe (including Germany and Spain) and the US
+ Fluency in using digital tools to drive insight.
+ Commercial sharpness paired with brand empathy. The ability to balance performance with integrity.
+ A love of fast-paced environments, but with a calm, clear, and thoughtful approach.
+ Bonus: experience working with subscription models and increasing customer LTV.

Our Interview Process and What You Can Expect:
+ Application Review:
We'll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it's a good fit for the role.
+ Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes):
You'll have a brief introductory chat with Ellie, our Talent Partner. We'll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.
+ Video Interview (circa 30 minutes):
The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience-based and competency-based questions. It's also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!
+ Interview Task:
You'll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in-person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.
+ In-Person Interview (60-90 minutes):
The final stage is an in-person interview at our Uckfield/Lewes office. You'll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.
Please Note:
+ This role requires full time working at our stunning Lewes offices. Please apply only if you're within a reasonable commute to East Sussex. There will be an option to work from home one day per week after successful completion of your probationary period.
