Role Overview



The Invoicing Administrator plays a key role in supporting our energy consultancy by ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent billing for our customers. The role is responsible for producing customer bills, validating supplier invoices, and resolving billing discrepancies across electricity, gas, and other energy-related services.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work confidently with energy suppliers, internal teams, and customers.

Key Responsibilities



Customer Billing



Prepare and issue accurate energy bills to customers in line with agreed contracts and pricing structures Ensure billing schedules are adhered to and invoices are issued on time Maintain clear and accurate billing records for all customers Respond to customer billing queries professionally and efficiently Support the resolution of billing disputes and escalations

Supplier Bill Validation



Receive and review supplier invoices for electricity, gas, and related services Validate supplier bills against contracts, meter data, tariffs, and agreed rates Identify billing errors, overcharges, or inconsistencies Raise queries and work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies promptly Track and follow up on outstanding billing issues with suppliers

Data & Reporting



Maintain accurate billing data within internal systems Reconcile customer and supplier billing data where required Assist with reporting on billing accuracy, variances, and trends Support audits and internal checks related to billing and compliance

Process & Compliance



Ensure billing activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal procedures Contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes and controls Support the wider operations and finance teams as needed

Skills & Experience



Essential



Previous experience in a billing, finance administration, or energy-related role Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good numerical and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Confident communicator, both written and verbal Competent with Microsoft Excel and billing/finance systems

Desirable



Experience within the energy sector (electricity, gas, or utilities) Knowledge of energy billing structures, tariffs, or meter data Experience dealing with suppliers and resolving invoice queries
