MCS Group is delighted to announce an exclusive partnership with a leading media and publishing company as they embark on their quest to hire an IT Support Technician for their Belfast team. Position Overview

As an IT Support Technician, your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day maintenance and assistance of IT systems, applications, and users. You will play a crucial role in supporting the network, configuring new hardware and software, ensuring the continuous operation of infrastructure and Disaster Recovery systems, and keeping security and data protection tools up to date. Additionally, you will be expected to provide on-site support throughout the week across all sites within the Group, including times outside of regular working hours when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in an IT Support Technician role or a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, both on desktop and server platforms.
• Competence in setting up network switches, configuring routing, managing VLANs, and handling VPNs.
• A valid UK driving license and the ability to be present at the office on-site for the full workweek.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular working hours on an on-call basis as required.
