At Gearset our IT Team is people focused and we want to ensure every interaction we have across the business, is of the highest calibre. In this role you\'ll be working closely with our IT manager and other team members to help develop our support function and help our people from across the business by providing technical support and guidance. You will also assist in helping with the hardware side of things helping us track, maintain and dispatch hardware as required.

  • We are looking for someone with impeccable interpersonal skills, keen to learn and an aptitude for technology. This role would be a great fit for someone who isn\'t afraid to get stuck in and be proactive in looking for ways to improve how we work and the service we provide.
What you\'ll achieve
  • Be part of the face of our internal IT support function, making sure that everyone at Gearset has the equipment and support they need to work effectively whether remote or in person. This could be helping with AV setup to diagnosing hardware issues, and everything in between.
  • Support our use of current systems including Google Workspace and Jamf
  • Get involved in various ongoing projects which may include new security initiatives, hardware deployment and training our people
  • Assist with asset management and warranty tracking across our IT estate
  • Help with distribution of hardware - we\'re a mix of in-person and remote people across multiple offices and countries
  • Help shape the future development of this role. At Gearset we\'re in a period of rapid growth and as such the scope and scale of our support will develop allowing for exciting opportunities within our growing department
About you
  • Have a technical predisposition and the desire to learn, and the ability to convey complex technical topics with simplicity
  • Are meticulously organised and take pride in your work
  • Take ownership of the work at hand and are able to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Have great customer service skills
  • Good at building strong professional relationships
  • Have an analytical approach to troubleshooting and solving problems
  • You\'re proactive, and enjoy working with people across the company to improve our service standards
  • Proficient in MacOS and Windows (We are predominantly Apple Macbooks)
  • Be able to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Great to haves
  • A track record of delivering exceptional customer service, ideally to a technical audience
  • Experience running or supporting presentations or training sessions
  • Any other relevant experience in an IT role would be a bonus but not a requirement
Salary and benefits (The stuff you\'d expect!)
  • Salary is between \xc2\xa328,000 and \xc2\xa332,000 depending on experience
  • This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a week in the office)
