Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled joiners mate / joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to assemble, fabricate, and install various structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Assemble and install wooden structures such as frames, doors, windows, and furniture. Fabricate custom woodwork according to specifications and design plans. Perform masonry tasks as required for various projects. Carry out roofing tasks including installation and repairs. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square by using appropriate measuring tools. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Joiners mate / joiner in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good physical fitness as the role may require lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
