Overview

EVM, a leading fit out manufacturing and installation business based in Glasgow is seeking a detail-oriented Joinery Product Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for various bespoke joinery components used in fit outs for our commercial customers. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of cost control principles.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for bespoke joinery products based on specifications and drawings. Analyse project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations. Review and assess tenders from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy. Maintain an organised database of past estimates for reference and future use. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing accurate and competitive estimates.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or commercial fit out industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in using estimation software and/or Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information. Relevant qualifications in construction management, fit outs or a related field would be advantageous. This rewarding opportunity would suit someone with at least 3-5 years experience, and an in-depth knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
