Junior CAD Technician Role Summary

As a Junior CAD Technician you'll have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned designers, learning the ropes and honing your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is the perfect opportunity for a school or college leaver to kickstart their career in the design engineering.

Responsibilities of the Junior CAD Technician:

Gain hands-on experience in the world of CAD design Collaborate with seasoned engineers to create innovative fire safety solutions and develop design concepts Contribute to the growth and success of a thriving company Assist in the development of project specifications and documentation

Preferred Requirements of the Junior CAD Technician:

Basic understanding of AutoCAD in either 2D, 3D or Revit design principles Strong mathematical and physics knowledge to support your technical work Excellent IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues to assist the senior engineer with ongoing projects. Proven ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications of the Junior CAD Technician:

A grade C or above in mathematics, demonstrating your aptitude for the technical aspects of the role Relevant experience in a similar engineering or design-focused environment, either through school or college projects, internships or previous employment A passion for the engineering and manufacturing industry, with an interest in building systems Are you interested in project management and building systems?
