T Nevill & Co Ltd is a specialist metal fabrication company focused on producing high-quality metal products using a broad range of techniques to meet prominent design briefs. We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior CAD Technician to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical design and manufacturing processes, with room for skill development and career progression within a dynamic company environment.
The Role:
As a Junior CAD Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of bespoke metal fabrication projects. Working closely with the General Manager, Workshop Manager, and fabrication team, you will produce detailed CAD drawings and assist with technical design tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in engineering design who wants to enhance their CAD skills while learning about real-world manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include producing 2D and 3D drawings, assisting with design development, liaising with the workshop team to ensure accuracy, and supporting the production process with technical documentation. Training will be provided, but experience in CAD drawing--especially using Autodesk Inventor--is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Inventor software
Assist with the development of design concepts for bespoke projects
Prepare technical documentation and drawing packs for production
Work closely with the workshop team to ensure designs meet fabrication requirements
Maintain drawing libraries and ensure version control
Support the estimation process by providing technical input where required
Assist with occasional quality control checks and reporting
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone with:
Experience producing CAD drawings (ideally in Autodesk Inventor or similar)
Good IT and software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
A keen interest in engineering and design
Relevant qualifications in CAD design, engineering, or related fields (desirable)
Previous experience in a design or manufacturing environment (desirable)

Working Hours
40 hours per week:
Mon-Thu: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (15-minute paid break, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Friday: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM (15-minute paid break)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 28,500.00 per year
