We are seeking a motivated Junior Designer to join our Construction company. Working primarily in the food industry we primarily undertake complex refurbishment projects within existing food production facilities, alongside new build and extensions.
Duties
Assist in the development and realisation of system designs using mostly 2D CAD software.
Support the creation of detailed technical drawings and schematics for manufacturing processes.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing systems and propose effective solutions.
Collaborate with Project managers to develop and optimise efficiency in the Pre-construction to construction handover.
Liase with clients to understand their needs.
Aid in the integration of Mechanical & Electrical factors into the design process.
Assist in troubleshooting technical problems by analysing schematics, system diagrams, and technical documentation.
Participate in team meetings to support project planning, progress updates, and technical reviews.
Effectively interpret client technical document and requirements into specifications to be distributed for tender process.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of system design principles and schematic interpretation.
Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex systems.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
