Role Description

We are now looking to recruit a Junior Estimator to support our estimating and tendering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is methodical, numerate, and looking to build a long-term career in construction estimating.

Enquiries & Tender Support & Pricing -

Measure on site, measure drawings and review site plans when applicable.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain material and plant hire costs.

Help build cost breakdowns for various job sizes.

Takeoffs & Quantity Calculations -

Assist with producing takeoffs from digital plans or site measurements.

CRM & Admin Support -

Input estimate details into the company quoting system.

Maintain and update pricing templates and databases.

Log and track submitted quotes and outcomes.

Client & Team Communication -

Liaise with the site teams to understand build methods and site constraints.

Respond to basic client enquiries related to quotes under supervision.

Work with senior estimators and directors to learn pricing strategy.

Learning & Development -

Shadow site visits or reviews to understand practical implementation.

Develop familiarity with construction terminology, surfacing processes, and estimating software.

The role may also include managing phone calls, and maintaining organized records.

What We're Looking For

A keen eye for detail and strong numerical skills. Basic knowledge of construction or civil engineering (academic or practical). Comfortable working with Excel, email, and digital plans. Strong communication and organisational skills. Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn. Previous experience in estimating, site-based construction, or a construction-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.00-15.00 per hour
