Our Junior Graphic Designer & Illustrator is responsible for designing and producing engaging visual assets that enhance product documentation, packaging, and new product launch materials, with a strong focus on IFU graphics and box artwork.

Success in this role will be achieved through collaboration with technical authors, engineers, and marketing teams, and by maintaining consistency in tone, terminology, and structure across all visual and written outputs to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and customer understanding.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 37.5 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo's Braintree site.

What are my responsibilities?

Design and deliver visual assets for IFUs, including technical diagrams, illustrations, and process flows. Create accurate and brand-consistent box artwork for product packaging, ensuring clarity and regulatory compliance. Support new product launches by producing high-quality visual content such as product illustrations, quick-start guides, presentations, and promotional materials. Collaborate with technical authors, engineers, and marketing teams to produce visuals that complement and strengthen written documentation. Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and structure across all graphics, illustrations, and supporting content in line with documentation standards and brand guidelines. Adapt and refine graphics based on feedback from cross-functional teams, user testing, and compliance requirements. Stay updated on design tools, trends, and best practices to continually enhance output. Actively engage in training and professional development to strengthen technical illustration and design capabilities.
What qualifications & skills are required of me?

GCSE C/5 or above in English & Mathematics. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to create and edit digital assets for web, social media, and print. Familiar with file formatting for exporting. Awareness of UI/UX design principles. Highly organised, with an emphasis on time management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A team player who is open to collaboration, and ability to receive feedback. A degree / diploma / certification in Graphic Design is desirable.
