About the Role

We Are Bau Group are looking for a

J

unior or Intermediate Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who is looking to develop their career within M&E design and build projects. Knowledge of electrical services would be a strong advantage.

You will work closely with experienced estimators, project managers, and design teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects and clear progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing mechanical cost estimates for M&E design and build projects Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents Carry out mechanical take-offs Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Support tender submissions and value engineering exercises Work collaboratively with mechanical and electrical design teams Identify risks and opportunities within bids Assist with post-tender handovers to delivery teams

Qualifications & Experience

Background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Level 3 qualification, HNC/HND, or equivalent industry experience desirable Experience in estimating, design, site, or project support within M&E (level dependent on experience) Understanding of M&E design and build projects desirable Basic knowledge of

lectrical services advantageous Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Good communication and organisational skills Competent in Microsoft Office; estimating software experience beneficial
