Junior Internal Sales & Design Engineer / Estimator
Location: Fareham, Hampshire - Office Based
Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 Per Annum (depending on experience)

In the UK, we support customers from initial design through to installation, working closely with consultants, contractors, and end users. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated junior candidate who wants to develop a technical career in a supportive, engineering-focused environment.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is interested in engineering, design, and technical sales.
You will receive full training on our specialist ventilation design software and will work closely with experienced colleagues to learn how to produce quotations, technical proposals, and ventilation layouts.
This role offers a clear development path, with opportunities to grow into a more senior Design Engineer or Sales Engineer position as you gain experience.
What You Will Do:

• Learn how to design bespoke ventilation solutions using KE Fibertec's software.
• Prepare technical quotations and support the sales team with customer proposals.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide general technical and commercial support.
• Work through the sales process from enquiry to order with guidance from senior team members.
• Build strong professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Review technical drawings and learn how ventilation systems are specified in buildings.
• Support market research and help evaluate pricing and competitor activity.
• Contribute to improving internal processes and customer experience.

Who We're Looking For:
HVAC experience is not essential but would be beneficial, full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn, and an interest in technical problem solving.
Essential Skills & Qualities:

• Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to build a long-term career.
• Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good numeracy and an ability to understand basic technical concepts.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn new software and engineering principles.
• Able to work independently once trained and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Any exposure to engineering, HVAC, building services, construction, or technical sales.
• Experience with AutoCAD or technical drawings.
• A relevant qualification (engineering, construction, physics, maths, or similar).
• Experience using CRM systems.
