The Essence Vault is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth over the last year and have partnered with the JobStart Scheme to offer entry-level positions in the field of logistics and distribution. The junior production operative is an entry-level role in the manufacturing industry, responsible for assisting in the production process of goods or products.
Key Tasks:
Equipment Setup: Assisting in the setup and preparation of machinery, materials and equipment needed for the production process.
Material Handling: Gathering and organising raw materials and components, or parts required for production.
Assembly: Participating in the assembly, fabrication, or construction of products according to established specifications and guidelines.
Quality Control: Inspecting products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards and identifying any defects or issues.
Machine Operation: Operating basic machines under the guidance of senior operators, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols.
Packaging: Assisting in the packaging and labeling of finished products for distribution or shipment.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning work areas, equipment, and tools to maintain a clean and safe production environment.
Documentation: Recording production data, quantities, and any issues encountered during the production process.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production operations.
Adherence to Procedures: Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure consistent and safe production practices.
Learning and Development: Acquiring knowledge of the production process, product specifications, and improving skills related to manufacturing operations.
The junior production operative contributes to the overall manufacturing process by performing essential tasks that help create products while adhering to quality and safety standards. As they gain experience and proficiency, they may have opportunities to take on more responsibilities and advance within the production department.
Undertake any other duties as required, that are within the competence of the post.
