Why SafelySwim?



SafelySwim is a swim school in Kent providing fun, engaging, and high-quality swimming lessons for babies, children, and adults. From baby & toddler classes, through our Learn to Swim Pathway, and up to competitive level, we're proud to support swimmers at every stage.

This role focuses on our

competitive section

, where we help swimmers take their first steps into competition, progress through Squads, and aim for County and Regional success.

What You'll Be Doing



As a Junior Swim Coach, you'll work closely with our Head Coach to deliver fun, progressive sessions for younger swimmers in Learn to Compete, Blue, and White Squads, while also supporting senior squads when needed.

You'll also play a vital role in the wider programme, helping to build strong foundations for swimmers as they move through our pathway.

Conduct a Variety of Sessions, Including:



Weekday mornings: 06:00-07:30 (Monday-Friday) Monday evenings: 18:00-20:00 Competitions: 5-10 weekends per year (voluntary with White Cliffs Swimming Club) Training camps: 1-2 per year (day or residential, voluntary)

Your Super Skills



Desirable*: Swim England Level 2 Coaching qualification (or relevant experience - training can be supported).
Enthusiasm for developing young swimmers and a passion for competitive sport. Strong communication skills with swimmers, parents, and colleagues. Reliability and commitment to early mornings and evenings. DBS check and safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete before starting). NRASTC and First Aid (desirable, training available).

When and Where?



Location: Kent -- employed position with SafelySwim, coaching across multiple venues.
Hours: Regular, contracted hours plus voluntary opportunities with White Cliffs Swimming Club.
