Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to help look after the dogs in our busy boarding kennels for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The role includes dog walking, feeding, cleaning, grooming, waste clearance, and admin work which involves booking dogs in, telephone work, and taking payments. The applicant must be physically fit and able to work on their feet for the whole shift, confident to handle a mixture of dogs; including large strong dogs, and be willing to work outside in all weathers. The selected candidate will be punctual, able to work as part of a team, be able to communicate well with members of the public, both face-to-face and by phone.

The selected candidate will be expected to work a 5 day, 35 hour week, with all days compromising a split shift of 0730-1200, and 1530-1800, days must include Wednesday and Thursday and a day at the weekend. Due to the split, please ensure you would have suitable travel arrangements in order to take on the role. We are open 7 days a week and also open over holiday periods including Christmas Day, Easter and bank holidays. We close for two weeks each year which you will take as part of your holiday leave. The pay is minimum wage.

Prior experience with dogs is essential.
