Job Vacancy: Kennel Assistant (Seasonal)

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team for the busy summer period (June, July, and August).

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role working in our dog boarding kennels and cattery. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and welfare for all our animals.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing daily care, enrichment, and exercise for dogs and cats. Cleaning kennels, cattery spaces, and communal areas to a high standard. Feeding animals according to individual needs and dietary requirements. Monitoring the health and wellbeing of all animals and reporting concerns promptly. Greeting and liaising with customers in a friendly, professional manner. Assisting with basic admin tasks and maintaining accurate records. Following strict welfare and safety procedures at all times.

About You:

Genuine love of animals and a commitment to their welfare. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable with the physical nature of the job (lifting, walking dogs, cleaning). Good communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in animal care (professional or voluntary) is desirable but not essential as full training will be given

Hours:

Primarily covering weekends and holidays throughout the summer period. Flexibility to work extra shifts if required.
