Delvallie Boarding Kennels

is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team in Southampton.

The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for providing daily care for the dogs in the kennel. Duties include feeding, cleaning, medication administration, exercise and ensuring the welfare of our dog boarders at all times.

Customer services skills are important in this role as the job entails customer interaction.

The hours of work are between 21 and 24 hours per week, with the potential for full time hours for the right candidate. This will include one weekend day a week.

Flexibility is also preferred, as in the event of sickness you may be called upon last minute to cover. This is to insure the dogs in our care are kept to a high welfare standard.

Own transport is essential as we are a rural location.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with dogs (preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently or as part of a team Must have own method of transport Must have good time keeping Must be open to flexible overtime if needed Must be able to work in an outdoor environment. (required)
