Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service. Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as directed by chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure high-quality standards. Support chefs during service by preparing plates and assisting with serving when necessary. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food is prepared according to specifications.

Skills

Proficient cooking skills with a solid understanding of meal preparation techniques. Strong knife skills for efficient food preparation. Experience in food service or handling within a restaurant or catering environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a culinary or restaurant setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. A passion for the culinary arts and eagerness to learn from experienced chefs.
