Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and delivered on time, maintaining consistency and quality.
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in all kitchen areas.
Monitor ingredient levels, assist with inventory management, and communicate supply needs to management.
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a chef or cook in a restaurant, cafe, or similar food service environment preferred.
Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
