Job Description
We are recruiting to the role of Kitchen Cook, who will lead on the preparation of hot meals for individuals who attend our provision. The working week will be split between the two venues to ensure each provides two hot meals per week. The postholder will plan the monthly menu, liaise with colleagues to ensure ingredients are sourced, cook the meal for serving at lunchtime for around 25 individuals and fully clean up afterwards.
The ideal applicant will
hold a current Food Hygiene qualification, have experience of enacting Safer Food Better Business principles in a work or volunteer setting, be able to work effectively on their own initiative and demonstrate empathy and support to our service users who have a range of disabilities.Spectrum Northants is a charity supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. We operate two Learning Centres, Charity Shop and Cafe in Northampton, and we aspire for further growth within the West Northants area.
