We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards of quality and presentation. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and fostering a positive work environment that prioritises hospitality and teamwork.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel.
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Monitor food costs and waste to ensure efficient use of resources.
Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, with strong culinary skills.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising a team.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing high-quality service.
Experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential.
