We're delighted to be recruiting a kitchen porter two days a week to join our busy kitchen team. Hours may vary and additional hours may be required for some evenings, functions and holiday cover.

The key responsibility of a Kitchen Assistant is to help maintain a clean and orderly kitchen. The value of a good kitchen assistant (or Kitchen Porter) is recognised by the world's best chefs because no matter how excellent the cooks are, service would be delayed if there aren't enough clean dishes, effective assistants can help the kitchen work efficiently.

The following are the major responsibilities of a kitchen assistant:

Getting basic housekeeping duties done as quickly as feasible. Gathering and cleaning pots and pans. Unloading food and equipment from delivery. Assisting with the organisation of the storage. Keeping work surfaces, floors, and walls clean and sanitised at all times. Cleaning silverware and crockery, as well as ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and ready. Basic food preparation, peeling, chopping as required.
Due to the nature of the business, our Kitchen Assistants may also be required to work in other outlets around the site with some basic food preparation and cooking as a satellite to the main kitchen, and in support of weddings and other events.

Reporting to the Head Chef and their team, successful candidates will support the kitchen to provide the very best in quality and service to our guests and diners. The ideal candidates would some experience of working within a busy kitchen environment, but most importantly a great work ethic and a willingness to get involved as part of the team.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
