Duties

Responsible for washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients as directed by chefs Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces Assisting with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team Ensuring all areas of the kitchen adhere to health and safety standards Organising storage areas and ensuring proper stock rotation Supporting serving staff during busy service periods when required Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently Ensuring the kitchen remains hygienic, tidy, and well-stocked at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
