We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept tidy and hygienic at all times.
Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as required.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and labelling.
Assist in maintaining kitchen supplies and reporting any shortages to the head chef or kitchen manager.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff. J
