We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a professional culinary environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in their daily tasks.
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and promptly
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, including work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking skills are advantageous
Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and support team members as needed
A positive attitude and good communication skills
