We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with organisational tasks to facilitate efficient workflow during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure ingredients and equipment are readily accessible.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques or culinary experience is advantageous.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or catering service is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety standards.
