Job Overview

We are seeking experienced, dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porters to join our busy culinary team. There are both full and part time positions available and applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends as required on a rotating basis.

The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a professional hospitality setting, with a focus on food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and supporting overall restaurant functions.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to meet hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift Supporting the movement of ingredients and supplies within the kitchen Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen appliances and work surfaces Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure efficient workflow

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments is desirable but not essential Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or culinary settings is advantageous Strong team player with excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and hospitality operations

Pay: 7.50-12.21 per hour
