Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service industry, particularly in a vibrant restaurant environment. The role is suitable for those with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. The role is weekend only and times vary from Saturday 11am start-2pm finish. Sunday 11am Start- 6pm Finish.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain cleanliness standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock management Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Helping with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service periods Supporting the team during busy service times by providing general assistance as needed Bagging up Delivery Orders.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is advantageous Experience working in hospitality or serving roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory A proactive approach to work with good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
