We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with basic food preparation, cleaning duties, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet health and safety standards. Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Support chefs and kitchen staff with general duties to maintain smooth kitchen operations. Ensure the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Restock supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels for service periods. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures within a professional setting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service periods.
