We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for our culinary team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry and develop your skills in a dynamic environment. Prior experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors. Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen. Support the organisation of stock and ensure all items are stored correctly. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Help with setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service times when required. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of hygiene standards within a kitchen environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service periods. Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality service.
