Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation, assisting with food preparation, and contributing to a positive dining experience. Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Support cooking staff during service by ensuring that all necessary items are readily available. Organise and store food supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service. Ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly and that recycling procedures are followed. Assist in maintaining an organised kitchen environment to promote efficiency among the team.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service to guests. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
