We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality and culinary sectors, particularly within a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Clean kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure they are hygienic and ready for use. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Assist with waste management within the kitchen.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary arts. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively liaise with chefs and other kitchen staff. A basic understanding of health and safety standards in food handling is beneficial.
