Job Advert: Kitchen Porter (Part-Time - 16 Hours/Week)

Fosseway Garden Centre is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic

Kitchen Porter

to join our friendly cafe team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment within a welcoming and supportive team.

Hours:

16 hours per week, on a rota basis (may include weekend work)

About the Role:

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that our customers expect. You'll be a key support to our chefs and front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

Washing up crockery, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly Keeping all kitchen and back-of-house areas clean and tidy Assisting with the receiving and proper storage of deliveries Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly Assisting with basic food preparation as needed Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

What We're Looking For:

A positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions Good level of physical fitness - the role involves standing for long periods and some lifting Reliability and punctuality Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential - full training will be provided
