We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and pot wash areas. Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs. Help with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately. Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed. Support chefs during busy periods by providing assistance where needed. Maintain health and safety standards within the kitchen at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness. A proactive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen is highly valued.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 21,367.50-25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
