We are looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Chef to support the Head Chef in the daily kitchen operations. The Assistant Chef will help with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Head Chef.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen.
Wash, peel, chop, and cut ingredients for cooking.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and work areas.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste.
Comply with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Help with receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately.
Support the Head Chef and team during busy service times.
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.49-12.59 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
